KEN DABROWSKI

Chairman of Advisory Board

Ken Dabrowski is Chairman of the Advisory Board at ORIX Capital Partners (“OCP”).

Mr. Dabrowski began his career at Ford Motor Co. as a college co-op student in the Automotive Assembly Division. He entered the Ford College Graduate Training Program in Product Development and was appointed a Systems Department Manager. Mr. Dabrowski held several executive positions in body, chassis, powertrain, electronics and vehicle engineering before being named Chief Vehicle Engineer in 1985. He was named Program Manager Small, Specialty and International Cars in 1987 and was appointed Executive Director, Body Engineering in 1991.                      

He became a member of the Ford 2000 senior management transition team in 1994 to plan and implement one of the largest corporate changes ever conducted. In May 1994, he was appointed Executive Director, Product and Business Strategy Office in the new organization. In September 1994, Dabrowski was elected a Corporate Vice President and given responsibility for the commercial truck business. In 1996, he was named to a new position of Vice President, Global Quality and Process Leadership Group, which included the Information Technology organization. He retired from Ford in 1999 after 35 years of service.

Since 1999, Mr. Dabrowski has been President of the Durant Group, a management consultant firm with a primary focus on private equity firms in Asia and USA. He was a member of the faculty of Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1999 through 2005 and became a Partner at American Industrial Partners (“AIP”) in 2005, a New York-based private equity firm focused exclusively on industrials. Mr. Dabrowski became Chairman of the Advisory Board at AIP after retiring in 2010.

Mr. Dabrowski received an M.B.A. from Wayne State University and Bachelor’s degree and holds a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Detroit.
